Britney Spears is facing mounting concern from those closest to her, with insiders telling OK! her recent DUI arrest has intensified calls for her to enter rehab as fears grow over her well-being.
Spears, 44, was recently arrested in Newbury Park, Calif., on suspicion of driving under the influence after reports of an erratic driver on the U.S. 101 freeway near the Ventura-Los Angeles county line.
She was the sole occupant of a black BMW 430i and underwent field sobriety tests at the scene, while further chemical test results remain pending. Prosecutors have yet to confirm whether charges will be filed, with a court appearance scheduled for May 4.

The concern is that without intervention, the pattern of behavior may continue, so there is a strong feeling that rehab or a similar program could provide the stability she needs, and they are praying she goes into treatment."
Spears' representative said the singer's DUI arrest was "an unfortunate incident that (was) completely inexcusable."

Through her attorney, Spears has issued a cease-and-desist letter alleging he accessed her data without authorization and breached state and federal laws. She has demanded that any materials be deleted and that he disclose whether files were shared, with the threat of legal action if he does not comply.
A legal source said: "If these allegations are substantiated, they could carry significant consequences. There is a clear effort to establish exactly what was accessed and whether any information was distributed."
